چکیده

Odontogenic tumors contain a heterogeneous collection of lesions that are categorized from hamartomas to benign and malignant neoplasms of inconstant aggressiveness. Odontogenic tumors are usually extraordinary with assessed frequency of short of 0.5 cases/100,000 population for every year. The lesions such as odontogenic tumors are inferred from the components of the toothstructuring contraption. They are discovered solely inside the maxillary and mandibular bones. This audit speaks to experiences and cooperation of the molecular and genetic variations connected to the development and movement of odontogenic tumors which incorporate oncogenes, tumor-silencer genes, APC gene, retinoblastoma genes, DNA repair genes, onco-viruses, development components, telomerase, cell cycle controllers, apoptosis-related elements, and regulators/controllers of tooth development. Hence; in this review, we tend to summarize the pathogenesis of some of the odontogenic tumors.

Bioinformatics Analysis Reveals Genes Involved in the Pathogenesis of Ameloblastoma and Keratocystic Odontogenic Tumor

Pathogenesis of odontogenic tumors is not well known. It is important to identify genetic deregulations and molecular alterations. This study aimed to investigate, through bioinformatic analysis, the possible genes involved in the pathogenesis of ameloblastoma (AM) and keratocystic odontogenic tumor (KCOT). Genes involved in the pathogenesis of AM and KCOT were identified in GeneCards. Gene lis...

Current Diagnostic Status of Pheochromocytomaand Future Perspective: A Mini Review

Pheochromocytomas (PCCs) are rare neuroendocrine tumors. The current diagnostic tools are based on biochemistry and histopathology results, but heterogeneity of diagnostic markers, signs and symptoms of PCCs bring a lot of difficulties for these two current methods. Unfortunately microscopic understanding of PCCs is not adequate for its confident prognosis and management. There are data linking...

Systematic Review: Pigmented Odontogenic Lesions

Abstract Introduction: Pigmented odontogenic lesions are rare; to date, only 60 cases have been reported in the literature. Melanocytes have been detected in a wide variety of odontogenic lesions. Several studies have discussed melanocyte presence and melanin production in odontogenic lesions, but its origin is still unclear. Therefore, the present systematic review aimed to gather information...

ارزیابی مقایسه ای تراکم ائوزینوفیل ها در فولیول دندانی، کیست فولیکولار و تومور ادنتوژنیک کراتوسیست

Background and purpose: Keratocystic odontogenic tumor tends to recur and behave more aggressively than follicular cysts and dental follicles. Eosinophils are multifunctional leukocytes, but their role in oral lesions is controversial. Current study aimed at assessing the density of eosinophils in aggressive odontogenic lesions. Materials and methods: In this descriptive-analytical cross-secti...
